In the age of social media, it's often easy to feel down on ourselves -- especially when you have countless, seemingly "flawless" Instagram models showing off glowing, perfect skin all the time.
Well, 17 year old Hailey Wait is working to change all of that. She's recently gone viral for sharing glamorous selfies that show off her cystic acne.
"I decided to post selfies showing my acne because I just was so exhausted of hiding it all the time," she told Cosmopolitan in an email. "I figured it would help my followers to know that they weren't alone."
Although she routinely faces rude comments from internet trolls, Hailey is determined to stay positive and confident in her own skin -- literally.
"I hope my story regarding acne really helps people to realize that just because you have these imperfections doesn't mean you're not amazing, doesn't mean you can't be successful, doesn't mean you can't be glamorous," she says in an interview with Barcroft TV. "Beauty is so much more than your face."
