Model and reality tv-star Kendall Jenner attended the 75th annual Golden Globes with Vogue Magazine on Sunday night, and received quite a lot of attention for an unlikely reason -- her apparent acne breakout.
Whilst I have a lot of respect for Kendall Jenner for braving the red carpet with an acne flare up, it really shows the photoshopped & polished version of reality shoved down our throats by the media.— Millie (@MillieClinton) January 9, 2018
It really is no wonder so many people have insecurities & low self esteem. pic.twitter.com/YZPWLRcrHZ

"Never let that shit stop you!" Kendall said in a Tweet -- and it's not the first time she's addressed her struggle with breakouts.
“I had such bad acne when I was younger. It completely ruined my self-esteem – I wouldn't even look at people when I talked to them," Jenner once wrote in a blog post. "I felt like such an outcast; when I spoke, it was with my hand covering my face... Even after things started to clear up, it took a solid amount of time to be okay with my skin and gain back my confidence. I realized that it’s a part of life for some people and it doesn’t define who you are.”
honored and humbled to be able to attend the Golden Globes with @voguemagazine . my eyes were opened and my heart is full seeing all of the men and women who were a part of this vital change! i too stand with all women #TimesUp pic.twitter.com/ua9bMKA8Tm— Kendall (@KendallJenner) January 8, 2018
What are your thoughts on all this?
To the people attacking and criticizing Kendall Jenner's skin, YOU'RE the reason why people with skin blemishes (of all sorts) are insecure. She could've canceled but instead chose to attend to support the "Time's Up" movement.— Corisa (@CoriKast) January 8, 2018
im not the biggest fan of kendall jenner but seriously? you’re really out here talking shit about her skin? you’re out here making fun of something that is a completely normal thing for everyone to go through? grow up. acne or not, she’s gorgeous.— trista (@signofmyhes) January 8, 2018
acne is normal and no matter if you’re laughing at a famous person it still affects everyone who suffer from the same problem! shame on everyone who is bitching about kendall’s skin it’s not funny— sofia (@lovelesswitch) January 8, 2018
