Internet, meet the man who is quite possibly the oldest fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phil Basser (now affectionately known as Philadelphia Phil, who has lived in the city since 1918).
Phil has followed the team ever since they played their first game in 1933, and once remarked that if he lived to be 100, he might see them win a Super Bowl.

Well, last night he did see the Eagles win the Super Bowl, as they defeated the New England Patriots 41-33. The best part? Basser literally turns 100 next month.
If there's anything I enjoyed from this Super Bowl, it's knowing that 99-year old Eagles fan Phil Basser, a fan of a team that even he's older than, had the chance to see his team win a Super Bowl for the first time. Those stories get me every time. #SuperBowl— Geoffrey Jacobs (@JediMasterGeoff) February 5, 2018
Are we the only ones getting kinda misty-eyed right now?
Another awesome joy in the story of Phil Basser is that not only did he get to see the Eagles win the Super Bowl before he turned 100, he got to see it live in the stadium.— Steve Ragan (@SteveD3) February 5, 2018
I’m low key pissed they didn’t show phil basser’s reaction to when the eagles won.— Katie Sanford (@Katie_239) February 5, 2018
