In celebration of International Women's Day, Barbie has launched its #MoreRoleModels campaign, which features more than a dozen new dolls modeled after history-making females.
With 86% of US moms worried about the type of role models their daughters are exposed to, we are committed to shining a light on empowering female role models in an effort to inspire more girls.— Barbie (@Barbie) March 6, 2018

"Girls need more role models. That’s why Barbie is committed to shining a light on empowering female role models in an effort to inspire more girls. Because believing they can be anything is just the beginning, actually seeing that they can makes all the difference," Barbie said in a YouTube video and its subsequent description.
The "Inspiring Women" dolls are made in the respective likenesses of Katherine Johnson, Frida Kahlo, and Amelia Earheart, to name a few.
There's also a "Shero" collection to celebrate modern-day-ceiling-shatterers, like ballerina Misty Copeland and Wonder Woman director director Patty Jenkins.
This #InternationalWomensDay, we are honoring more female role models than ever before. Introducing the largest addition to our Sheroes line to date - meet our new Global Sheroes.— Barbie (@Barbie) March 7, 2018

Can't express how totally mind blowing and delightful it is to have your childhood favorite resemble you!! Thank you @Barbie for this incredible honor, and for celebrating all kinds of women, everywhere. What a great way to inspire the girls of tomorrow! This is kick-ass! And although I do not have a daughter, this is the kind of female role models I want my son to grow up with; women who break stereotypes & follow their dreams.#morerolemodels @Barbie #internationalwomensday2018 pic.twitter.com/2KjoRzcqo6— Lina Sharafeddin (@Ms_Sharafeddin) March 8, 2018
Positive role models are clutch in this life! I'm proud to support @Barbie in highlighting inspiring women on #InternationalWomensDay. My role model always was and still is my Grandmother Edith Martinez. Who is your role model? #MoreRoleModels #ad— Gina Rodriguez (@HereIsGina) March 6, 2018
