If you're sexually active and not ready to have a child, birth control is an absolute necessity.
For years, the birth control pill has only been an option for females -- but that's likely to change very, very soon.
Apparently, a male birth control pill just completed what researchers are calling a "successful" clinical trial.
According to Now This, researchers gave 3 dosages to 100 men, and those with the highest dose suppressed their testosterone as well as sperm production. Only a few side effects were observed, including slight weight gain and and reduced HDL cholesterol (which is the good kind).
The team still has more testing to do in order to see if the pill is approved for long term use, but things are looking up so far.
