The office of Mayor David Briley announced Tuesday night that part of Charlotte Ave. in Nashville will be renamed for the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
A ceremonial signing of the legislation [passed Tuesday by Metro Council] will take place at 10.am. Wednesday morning at the Witness Walls in Public Square Park to honor Dr. King on the 50th anniversary of his assassination.
