Soon-to-be-princess Meghan Markle has finally addressed rumors surrounding her father's attendance at the royal wedding -- and it turns out, he won't be there after all.
Kensington Palace released the following statement on the matter.
Meghan's father, Thomas, previously told TMZ that he wouldn't be attending due to a photo scandal that he feared had embarrassed his daughter [and the royal family]. However, after 24 hours he changed his tune, stating that he did want to be a part of the wedding festivities.
....But then the poor guy underwent heart surgery on Wednesday -- and naturally, he can't hop on a plane across the Atlantic in that sort of condition.
Now the question on everybody's mind is: who will walk Meghan down the aisle in his place? Here's to hoping her mom, Doria, gets to do the honors!
