A family from New Market, Tennessee has recently taken to social media in an attempt to find a kidney donor for 23-month-old Lucas Jones.
Lucas was born with multicystic displastic kidneys, and spends 9 hours every night undergoing dialysis. He was added to the transplant list in early May.
"We're trying to get a living kidney donor because we don't know how long he'll be on the transplant list, and we want him to get it as soon as possible because it's keeping him from being able to walk," Lucas's mother, Tara Jones, told WATE. "He's weak and he's just now started rolling, and he's just about to be two years old."
Jones says doctors have suggested potential donors have blood type O, be younger than 50 years old, and have a BMI less than 35.
