The family of John McCain tearfully paid their respects to the beloved senator at a memorial service Wednesday at the Arizona State Capitol -- and a video of Meghan McCain breaking down in tears has gripped the hearts of people around the world.
Meghan, who often publicly defended her father from political opponents and critics, shared an emotional statement via Twitter following news of his passing, saying: "All that I am is thanks to him."
Memorial services will continue over the coming days. Senator McCain's body will lie in state at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda on Friday, before being transported to Maryland for a private service at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis on Sunday.
