A 17-year-old Marvel superfan named Josh is currently fighting stage 4 glioblastoma, the same aggressive form of brain cancer that Senator John McCain succumbed to last week.
According to the National Brain Tumor Society, the average length of life from the date of diagnosis is about fifteen months -- so Josh's friends wasted no time in trying to make his dreams come true while he's still with us.
"His only wish is to meet or at least receive a message to himself from actors, more specifically Marvel actors. It will be best to possibly get a hold of Ryan Reynolds or someone from the Deadpool cast since deadpool is his favourite," @KrissieCosplay wrote on Twitter.
Luckily, it didn't take long for Ryan Reynolds to come through for the teen with heartfelt words of support.
