Kim Kardashian Working to Free Another Non-Violent Felon in Tennessee

Just months after successfully convincing President Donald Trump to commute the sentence of Alice Marie Johnson, Kim Kardashian West has revealed that she's found another convicted felon to advocate for; 30-year-old Chris Young of Tennessee

Police arrested Young eight years ago for possession of marijuana and half a gram of cocaine. Despite the fact that he was convicted for a non-violent offense, he was sentenced to life behind bars without parole at a maximum security prison. The judge presiding over Young's case [Kevin Sharp] actually resigned in protest, because state law required him to give a sentence that he knew was unfair.

"It's scary to have a minor drug charge but get life. You're stuck in this crazy maximum-security prison with murderers," Kim said in the latest episode of Wrongful Conviction podcast. “I was on the phone with the judge that sentenced him to life... who resigned because he had never been on the side of having to do something so unfair, and now he is fighting [alongside] us to get [Young] out.”

We'll keep you posted as more details come out! Thoughts?
