Just days after the tragic passing of Mac Miller, a close friend of the rapper has come to the defense of Ariana Grande -- who received countless comments on social media alleging that his untimely death was her fault.

On Tuesday's episode of The Shane Show [Shane Says Goodbye to Mac Miller], Shane Powers told listeners that "...there was no one in his life more ready to go to the wall for him when it came to him being sober. [Ariana] was an unbelievably stabilizing force in his life.”
"[Ariana was] constantly calling and asking what she could do next to help Mac continue to take steps in the right direction," Powers said.
