A replica of the Titanic -- creatively named Titanic II (lol) -- is scheduled to make its maiden voyage in 2022. According to USA Today, it will carry 2,400 passengers and 900 crew members -- almost exactly the same number on board the ship that tragically sank in 1912.
Titanic II even plans to retrace the Titanic's route from Southampton to New York; but this time, they'll actually have an appropriate number of life boats, life-jackets and even modern safety features.
The ship reportedly cost Blue Star Line a cool ~*$500,000,000*~ to build. While tickets aren't yet available for purchase, ticketing information and prices will eventually be posted at http://bluestarline.com.au/.
