Website Lets You Buy Beer for Workers Affected by the Government Shutdown

New crowd-funding initiative Pay It Furloughed truly believes that "beer makes everything better" -- so they're collecting money to buy beer for federal employees affected by the government shutdown [now the longest in history].

According to the website -- which tracks the number of available beers in real time -- each one costs $7.50. The fee covers the price of the drink, plus 10% for sales tax, credit card processing fees and website maintenance.

Pay It Furloughed is looking at the potential of adding food, and should the government reopen before all donated resources have been used, they intend to put the beers "on virtual ice" and save them for future shutdowns.
