Taylor Swift has just revealed to fans that her mother, Andrea, is battling cancer again. The information comes from an essay the snake queen penned for ELLE USA titled '30 Lessons I Learned Before Turning 30.'
For Lesson 24, she wrote: "I've had to learn how to handle serious illness in my family. Both of my parents have had cancer, and my mom is now fighting her battle with it again. It's taught me that there are real problems and then there's everything else. My mom's cancer is a real problem. I used to be so anxious about daily ups and downs. I give all of my worry, stress, and prayers to real problems now."
Andrea was first diagnosed with cancer in 2015.
One thing is for sure: Taylor is the woman she is because of her mother. Andrea has been such a friend to us here at The River, and is a valued member of the Nashville community. We're praying for her full recovery.
