It has just been confirmed that Suzanne Collins has written a brand new Hunger Games novel -- and it's set to be released in 2020.
Apparently it's going to be a prequel, set 64 years before the original series that gave us the iconic badass that is Katniss Everdeen.
Collins said this book will focus on the Dark Days of a failed rebellion in the city of Panem.
"With this book, I wanted to explore the state of nature, who we are, and what we perceive is required for our survival,” her statement reads. “The reconstruction period 10 years after the war, commonly referred to as the Dark Days — as the country of Panem struggles back to its feet — provides fertile ground for characters to grapple with these questions and thereby define their views of humanity.”
No title for the novel yet, but we'll keep you posted. Thoughts?!
