One of the most popular beauty gurus on YouTube ~*Nikkie Tutorials*~ just came out as transgender, after being blackmailed by someone who threatened to leak her story to the press. Nikkie has been making videos on YouTube for 11 years, and has a following of nearly 13 million subscribers.
"Today I am here to share something with you that I've always wanted to share with you one day, but under my own circumstances, and it looks like that chance has been taken away from me," the 25-year-old says in the video. "So today, I am taking back my own power and I have to tell you something."
She then goes on to explain that she was born in the wrong body; that she was dressing as a girl by age 7, and had fully transitioned by age 19.
"At first it was frightening to know that there are people out there that are so evil that they can’t respect someone’s true identity....It is vile and it gross … they said they wanted to leak it because I’m lying or that I don’t want to tell my truth or that I’m too scared to tell people who I truly am.”
While Nikkie didn't give any details about who was allegedly blackmailing her, fans did notice that the sister of TooFaced's CEO posted some pretty nasty things on her Instagram following the video's release.
