I am not too proud to admit that the National Treasure movies were formative for me. I un-ironically love Nicolas Cage running around dramatically proclaiming that he's gonna steal historically significant stuff. So naturally, I am thrilled to be able to say that Disney is currently developing a third installment in the series.
Apparently ~*tHe HoUsE oF mOuSe*~ has tapped Bad Boys for Life screenwriter Chris Bremner to pen the script, and the legendary Jerry Bruckheimer will return to produce. [If Bruckheimer is in, Disney is clearly intending to do it right!]
No word on what the story-line will be, but Twitter has some pretty hilarious ideas. Will Benjamin Gates steal the Washington monument? The Articles of Impeachment against 45? An alternate ending to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker?!?!?
I really don't care, to be honest. I'm watching it no matter what. LOL!
