Camila Cabello Wrote Emotional Father/Daughter Song While in Nashville

The broadcast of the 62nd annual Grammy Awards was packed with poignant, emotional moments, particularly in light of the sudden, shocking passing of NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13 year old daughter, Gianna. Whether coincidence or divine orchestration, Camila Cabello performed a song called 'First Man' for her father Alejandro that had everyone drawing parallels.

You don't even know how much it means to me now
That you were the first man that really loved me, that really loved me
You really love me

It turns out that First Man was actually written right here in Nashville a little over a year ago.

"I dedicate this to all dads out there," Camila wrote in an Instagram post detailing the song's creation. "...the ones that are with us and the ones that aren’t anymore, but that we will always have in our hearts."

What did you think of Camila's performance?
