Fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise are in turmoil over the fact that Zac Efron is reportedly in talks with Disney to take on the role of Captain Jack Sparrow.
If you're out of the loop on all of this, Johnny Depp (who held the iconic role up until this point) was fired by the HoUsE oF mOuSe after ex-wife Amber Heard alleged that he was abusive to her. Recently released videos and photos have cast public doubt on her claims, leading nearly 125,000 fans to sign a Change.org petition calling on Disney to bring Depp back into the series.
But regardless of how the Depp Vs. Heard case plays out in court, its uncertain how Disney will proceed, as early reports suggest that Efron would be playing a younger Jack Sparrow in a Pirates prequel. Nevertheless, people don't really seem to be into the idea. What do you think about all this?
