A couple days ago, Taylor Swift posted a selfie on Instagram, captioning the ~*GoRgEoUs*~ picture "not a lot going on at the moment."
Seems innocent enough, when you consider that she's stuck in quarantine like the rest of us.
But the thing about T-Swift is....nothing is ever as simple as it appears to be on the surface.
Swifties noticed that Taylor posted that picture on Twitter and Instagram at exactly 5:08PM EST -- which, if translated into a date is Friday, May 8th. [FYI: Artists usually release new music on Fridays.]
If you're inclined to think that everyone is jumping to conclusions prematurely, you may also be interested to know that the number 58 is written at the 2:44 mark of Taylor's music video for The Man.
And, uh, I really am trying to stay calm but. There's *also* a theory that Taylor may be dropping a music video for Cruel Summer [aka my favorite song on the album that deserved to be a single, dammit.] Coincidentally, the song is 2 minutes and 58 seconds long.
I'm just saying -- given that we're all locked up and everything sucks because of coronavirus, the words "Cruel Summer" have never been more generally relevant.
