According to a CNN source, the city of Louisville, Kentucky, has settled the wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of Breonna Taylor. The 26-year-old EMT was shot and killed by police in her own home after they executed a no-knock warrant at the wrong residence.
Exact details of the settlement are to be announced later this afternoon in a joint press conference with the mayor and the Taylor family attorneys.
As of now, none of the officers involved in the shooting have faced criminal repercussions in the killing. A grand jury will eventually decide their fates. An announcement has not been made about those proceedings.
