Netflix Testing Feature to Crack Down on Password Sharing

I'm sure we could all admit that we are using someone else's logins when it comes to streaming services. One of the most popular ones is Netflix and well.....that's probably going to stop soon. Spotted by GammaWire, Netflix is starting to test a pop-up screen meant to stop you from using someone else's login credentials.

The warning reads, “If you don’t live with the owner of this account, you need your own account to keep watching,” and also asks users to verify the account via email or text. There is one other option that might help you get around it by clicking on the “verify later” option allowing viewers to bypass the prompt for now.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Netflix confirmed the new feature. “This test is designed to help ensure that people using Netflix accounts are authorized to do so,” which you can read more on this story HERE!
